 Hi everyone,

Hope you all having nice vacation, mine coming to end . I have to go back to bangalore and soon my daughter’s school will re-open. While I was packing for vacation i tried keeping my skin care and makeup products as less as possible. Then I decided to take Johnson & Johnson Baby Milk Lotion with me. This one lotion suits my whole family me, my daughter and my hubby. It is so horribly hot and humid here and i need a moisturizer which is light and non greasy and this lotion is a very good option. I first purchased 7 years back when my daughter was born and started using it myself as a moisturizer too. since ten I am using it on my and my daughters skin religiously.

What’s my Skin type:-

My facial skin is combination type, gets oily around my nose during summers and normal in winters.

What the Product claims:-

Clinically proven mild. Contains a unique combination of natural milk extract and Vitamins A & E. with double nourishment, this product helps replenish moisture to leave skin feeling baby soft. Contains rich emollients and added moisturizers helps to give skin an immediate moisture boost.
Good for you, good for baby. Apply daily on face,hands and body.

My opinion on the product:-

This lotion comes in a white plastic bottle with a blue screw open and flip open cap which is sturdy . The lotion is white in color and smells really good and clean. the texture of the lotion a little runny and non greasy. It is so light that it gets absorbed into the skin fast and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized.

On the back of the bottle it is suggested that it can be used on hands, body, legs and on face too. Its is a all – rounder moisturizer suitable to all skin types even the delicate skin beauties can use it. I found it to be better than the pink one from the same brand. It never broke me out and really a good moisturizer for combination type skin in summers.

You must be thinking, peeling lotion? How can a lotion have peeling effect?

Well, no worries! The product we know as toner is actually called lotion for most (if not all) Japanese skincare brands. How the gluconic acid works

This will also help improve the skin’s hydration resulting in smooth and supple skin. 

It looks and feels just like water!

Like all Hada Labo lotions, it comes in a plastic bottle with a flip cap. This makes it easy to dispense the product without any wastage. This Hada Labo Mild Peeling Lotion is non-greasy, pH balanced and free from alcohol, colorant, fragrance, preservative, animal derivatives and mineral oil. Even so, I expected it to have at least a faint scent, but I was surprised to discover that it was completely scent-free! It looks and feels just like pure water, lol. It also doesn't have that sticky, 'boing boing' texture reminiscent of the Super Hyaluronic Acid range.

Despite the term 'peeling lotion', it is very mild and suitable for every day use after your cleansing routine. I use it together with the Hada Labo Deep Clean & Pore Refining Face Wash. While I do not see any obviously noticeable results on my skin, I have to say that it it very gentle and does not irritate my skin nor cause any breakouts. :) Even though this product is targeted more towards those with dull and oily skin that is prone to acne, it works fine on my normal combination type skin. 

The Hada Labo Light Peeling Lotion (170ml) retails at RM 49.90, and is available at all leading pharmacies outlets nationwide.

Reviewers recommend Aquaphor Healing Ointment Advanced Therapy Skin Protectant for severely dry skin. It contains petrolatum, which experts say acts as a barrier to protect skin from further moisture loss and irritation. Other ingredients include glycerin and panthenol, both of which replenish moisture, as well as bisabolol, an anti-irritant that helps to soothe inflammation. Users at MakeupAlley.com, Amazon.com and Drugstore.com also say they use the ointment on all types of skin ailments, including eczema, chapped lips, sunburns and diaper rashes. Experts say it can be used anywhere on the face and body, but it may be a little too thick for those with only mildly dry skin. If you prefer a lightweight formula, reviewers recommend a lotion such as CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion rather than an ointment or cream. Aquaphor is fragrance- and preservative-free.

I picked up five full-sized lipsticks, and all ten sample shades from the range to review for you all. I had a bit of a face-palm moment, I originally tested the samples when I first got them, and made full notes on each colour for the review. When the time came to finish the post I couldn’t remember for the life me which notebook I wrote it in. Ha ha. Lesson learned. Stick with your technology Kaye.

Colour Breakdown:

Midnight Gleam: semi-opaque, creamy. Buildable colour to full coverage, can feather lightly into lines because of it’s consistency. Primer or lip liner is recommended. I’m a fan of this shade, the photos don’t do it justice. It’s actually a lot darker.

Gilded Velvet: opaque, pearl/frost like finish, creamy.

Aurora Rose: opaque, high pearl creamy finish. This look is very pearl/frost, and can appear sheer under flash lighting.

Sparkling Sable: opaque, pearl/frost like finish, creamy. Another shade that can appear sheer under flash lighting.

Sienna Sparkle: semi-opaque/sheer, creamy. Another shade that is fully buildable. Also another favourite for me.

Berry Glitz: semi opaque/sheer, creamy. For those wanted lighter, more buildable colour this is a shade for you. Beautiful and sheer to full.

Pink Papparrazi: opaque, creamy. I call this one Barbie pink, but not in a bad way. Great for a bold, in your face, pink. I really love this shade.

Brilliant Ruby: opaque, creamy. This is my absolute favourite from this range. It gives an immediate pop of bright colour. It is a very bright, almost cherry/strawberry, red.

Rogue Luxury: opaque, creamy. This is a darker, more classic shade of red. Something for anyone who doesn’t like bright reds, but still wants a classic.

Crimson Twilight: opaque, creamy. The darkest of their reds, this is a very deep red.

• Soap lasts for a long time, it did not melt easily on my soap dish. See photo after two weeks of daily usage.

• It felt gentle on the skin, although I did not used it for my face I have a belief that only facial wash can be used on the face and that never used your bar of soap for your face.

• Skin felt squeaky clean.

CONCERNS:

• I already have a light skin, so I really cannot tell if its effective in intensive whitening and two weeks maybe is not enough to tell but I did not see any difference and to reveal a brighter skin. 
• It felt a bit drying on the skin.

Tangee Lipstick Review

When's the last time you treated yourself to a new tube of lipstick? Many economists and social scientists have noticed a trend dating back to the Great Depression that during tough economic times, cosmetic sales tend to increase. The explanations for this noteworthy phenomenon range from insightful to outright fanciful, but generally it is believed women strapped for cash will splurge on a new shade for their lips rather than more expensive items like a new dress.

At almost $15 a tube, I wouldn't say Tangee is the cheapest lipstick around, but given the brand has been around for almost a century, its formula virtually unchanged during that time, I thought a vintage-loving gal like me should pick up a tube, regardless of the state of the economy.

Tangee's fame lies in its unusual color-changing characteristic, hence the motto "The Lipstick That Changes Color to Become Uniquely Your Own". In short, this vibrant orange gloss-like lipstick turns an elegant shade of red with a hint of purple within seconds of applying it to your lips.

How does this happen?
Well, the website Cosmetics and Skin explains how the synthetic dyeeosin discovered in the late nineteenth century was added to Tangee and other lipsticks of the early twentieth century to create a new type of "indelible" color, that is, color that cannot be rubbed of the lips easily.

The mechanism responsible for this attribute was fundamentally different from how other lipsticks colored the lips. Traditional lipsticks contained pigments are already present and active even before the product touches the skin. In the case of Tangee and other "indelible" lipsticks, the eosin dye reacts with your skin's proteins to create a vibrant reddish color with the slightest hint of purple.

Thus Tangee technically falls under the category of lip stain as opposed to true lipstick. (Incidentally eosin is still used for staining tissue samples in laboratories....)

So how does it become "Uniquely Your Own"? I'm not sure it does. Some say it reacts to the temperature or pH of your skin, but I've yet to see a scientific explanation for either of those claims. I'm not sure given the nature of eosin how this reaction could produce a different color on different people, unless you take into account the different underlying skin tones.
